Systems & services we support

What we support

EHR & practice management

eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, Tebra, NextGen, Dentrix, Eaglesoft and Open Dental. We deal with the vendor for you.

Phones & call routing

VoIP business phones with an auto-attendant, voicemail to email, and after-hours routing to your answering service.

Secure fax & documents

Secure eFax, scanning into the EHR, and PIN-release printing so patient papers don’t sit in the tray.

Clinical network & patient Wi-Fi

Clinical systems, patient Wi-Fi and cameras on separate UniFi networks.

Locked-down workstations

Encrypted computers with two-step sign-in (MFA) and auto-lock, including shared front-desk and exam-room stations.

e-Prescribing & EPCS

Prescribing controlled substances online requires two-factor identity for providers. We set up and fix the tokens.

Backup & disaster recovery

Restore-tested backups of servers, computers, email and drives.

Cameras & door access

Commercial camera systems and access control for entrances, records rooms and server closets.

Device lifecycle & disposal

Retired computers, copiers and drives are wiped or destroyed, with a record of it.

We also support signature pads, insurance-card scanners, label printers, digital X-ray sensors, intraoral cameras and check-in tablets.

Your team, supported

Support for everyone in the practice

Front desk, billing, hygienists, MAs and providers get help directly from the engineer who knows your practice. That includes quick fixes, new-hire setup, and shutting off access on someone’s last day.

If you add an operatory, an exam room or a second location, we handle the build-out too.

HIPAA, on by default

HIPAA safeguards come standard

Everything above comes with the HIPAA Security Rule’s technical safeguards already running: encryption, MFA, endpoint detection, access control and activity logging.

The HIPAA program adds the annual security risk assessment, policy templates, staff training with completion records, and a signed BAA (business associate agreement). It is priced separately, from $1,250 a month plus a one-time build, and only sold with Managed IT.

We ask every medical client to carry cyber liability insurance, and we carry full coverage ourselves. Our standard setup meets what insurers require, which makes coverage easier to get and often cheaper.

Questions practices ask

Practice IT and HIPAA questions

Do you support our EHR?

Almost certainly. We work with the major medical and dental platforms, including eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, Tebra, NextGen, AdvancedMD, Dentrix, Eaglesoft and Open Dental. The vendor owns the software, and we look after the computers, network and connections it runs on.

Our EHR vendor says they handle HIPAA. Are we covered?

Only for their software, under their own BAA. Your computers, email, network, backups, staff logins and the office itself are outside their scope. Details on our HIPAA Compliance Services page.

How fast do you respond?

We monitor your systems, support runs during business hours, and emergencies are escalated. Extended hours are available if we agree on them up front. We come on site across NYC, Westchester, Northern NJ and lower CT.

Do you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign one with every medical client before we touch systems that hold patient information. Full details on the HIPAA Compliance Services page.

Do we need a separate compliance vendor?

No. We run the HIPAA program alongside Managed IT: the annual risk assessment, policy templates, staff training and safeguard records. It is priced separately, from $1,250 a month plus a one-time build, and the proposal shows every line. See what’s included on the HIPAA Compliance Services page.

Is our practice too small for this?

No. We work with offices of 5 to 50 people. Small practices are hurt most by downtime, and OCR penalizes them for missing the basics too.
